Long road to recovery

A little over two years ago I had a miscarriage that led me to my doctor's office in fear. In the wake of that appointment, I sought the help of a fertility specialist as my husband and I were trying to conceive. The doctors were quick to diagnose me with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome). I began medication that made me quite ill for the first 3 months. It was almost a year later, after several fertility treatments, that the doctors discovered another problem. My uterus was covered in pre-cancerous growths that needed to be removed immediately. I was scheduled for surgery and the polyps were removed. The biopsy results indicated that there was no cancer but the likelihood that these growths might return was good. Three weeks after the surgery I became pregnant. On May 24, 2005, I gave birth via C-section to my sweet baby Tannis. Though my pregnancy and c-section went smoothly, the events leading up contributed to my severe postpartum depression. I lost the baby weight quickly due to the depression. After I discovered that I was experiencing PPD, I sought the help of a therapist. The weight came back as I began taking antidepressants. I have continued my therapy and replaced the antidepressants with exercise. Now my road begins again as I tackle the weight.

My Goals:
My goal weight is 105 lbs. My goals are to add strength training, yoga or pilates, 90 minutes of cardio 3 times a week and do at least 30 crunches (daily). I would like to flatten my mommy tummy and trim my thighs.

I have also added 10-12 glasses of water daily to my goals.

My Program:
Do 60-90 mintues of cardio 3 times per week or more. Strength training 3 or more times per week. And yoga/pilates 2 times per week.

Personal Information:
I am vegetarian and am considered transitioning to vegan. I chose to become vegetarian for many reasons. I love animals and do not feel that I need to contribute to their needless deaths so that I can consume their flesh. I am also at an increased risk for heart disease and high cholesterol. Knowing that cholesterol is only found in animal products, I have thus chosen to omit them from my lifestyle.

I love to read and write. One of my personal goals is to complete a novel and sumbit it to a reputable publisher.

Other Information:
I regret not recording my measurements in the beginning, but have since started keeping track.
