Hi my name is Sherry. I am 44 years old.

I never saw a wild thing
sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.
~D H Lawrence~

This is a poem titled "Self Pity"...it was also used in the movie "GI Jane".

This is a favorite quote of mine from my favorite movie. Several years ago it played a large part in another weight loss journey I took. Five years ago I lost 110 lbs...since then I have put on 45 lbs. I need to stop this cycle once and for all.

"You must do the things you think you cannot do."
- Eleanor Roosevelt
The tasks you are most afraid of, are the ones you need to face first. Don't keep yourself from achieving your dreams!

You make your own dream. That's the Beatles'
story, isn't it? That's Yoko's story . That's what
I'm saying now. Produce your own dream. If you
want to save Peru, go save Peru. It's quite
possible to do anything, but not to put it on the
leaders and the parking meters. Don't expect
Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan or John Lennon
or Yoko Ono or Bob Dylan or Jesus Christ to
come and do it for you. You have to do it yourself.
That's what the great masters and mistresses
have been saying ever since time began. They
can point the way, leave signposts and little
instructions in various books that are now
called holy and worshipped for the cover of the
book and not for what it says, but the instructions
are all there for all to see, have always been
and always will be. There's nothing new under
the sun. All the roads lead to Rome. And people
cannot provide it for you. I can't wake you up. You
can wake you up. I can't cure you. You can cure
you.
~John Lennon~

I think that we are all capable of much more than what we give. I need to stop making excuses and stop feeling sorry for my self. I used to put my workouts and nutrition at the top my "to do" lists...somehow that has changed.

Well now the time has come for that to change again. Welcome back to me!

Here are some more positive people and their beliefs. I want to surround myself with positive energy.

The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.
~Denis Watley~

We've removed the ceiling above our dreams. There are no more impossible dreams.
~Jesse Jackson ~

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined.
~Henry David Thoreau~

“Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit. You are what you repeatedly do.”
~Shaquille O'Neal~
