I'm Going to Win this Battle! :)

It is time to make a change. No more excuses! My weight has been up and down my entire life. I look at pictures where I truly look great and think, "Wow, I thought I was really fat THEN!" My whole mindset is changing! This is my new life; it's an endless journey, because even when I reach goal I will still have to work hard to MAINTAIN. I can't lose 80+ pounds and then start eating pizza, subs, chips & dip, cheeseburgers & fries, fast food, etc.! I used to tell myself that I didn't ...

My whole mindset is changing! This is my new life; it's an endless journey, because even when I reach goal I will still have to work hard to MAINTAIN. I can't lose 80+ pounds and then start eating pizza, subs, chips & dip, cheeseburgers & fries, fast food, etc.! I used to tell myself that I didn't care, it didn't matter, I'm married with kids so what's the point....BUT on New Years Eve, I had an epiphany. For the first time in 20+ years, I am taking this healthy lifestyle seriously. 2009: This is MY year!

Thanks for asking about my week, and if yours was hectic, then yes, mine was very similar.
Feels like there is so much to do before my family comes for Turkey Day.
I baked some pumpkin bread loaves tonight. Altered the recipe from my mom to add some whole wheat flour instead of all white flour. We'll have to see how they turn out.
Lots of fund raising activities for the boys. And Madeline had her final soccer game of the season. They lost and had to travel 3+ hours to do so. Oh, well, she got in a great day with her buds.
Take care. Bell just went off. Have to check on the bread. emoticon

Morning sunshine,
let the week of fun begin. My brother arrives tonight and I have loads of things to do to get ready and I have haircut scheduled for today too.
The weather looks to be decent this week so we will get lots of outdoor exercise in. I love fresh air which is strange because I used to prefer the gym. emoticon
Sending you wished for a fabulous day. Thanks again for my magazine subscription.

BTW, what are your plans for Thanksgiving?

Yeah my car repair went pretty well. I've been living in Boston about 5 years and have just now found a mechanic I somewhat trust and don't feel like I need lube when I go in to have work done. It was some routine maintenance and one pretty minor repair. I was lucky!!

Sorry to hear about your laptop. I can so relate to the Geek Squad guy's comment though. That stuff always happens to me, lol. Oh well, what can we do?

Have a great weekend!!

Thanks for the sunshine, it's going to be rainy today, but clear tomorrow. The smells of baking are filling the house right now: cinnamon raisin bread in the bread machine, Mrs. Smith's apple pie (for Sunday) is now baked, Garnett sweet potatoes (expensive, but worth it for Thanksgiving & Christmas) are almost done. I need DH to cut the butternut squash in half so that I can bake that tonight.

How much time off from school do you have? The schools around here close for the entire Thanksgiving week. emoticon

Thanks for stopping by. I was able to complete my homework and turned it in this morning.
