    We do indeed have a lot in common. emoticon
    One thing I will tell you about going gluten-free (and I didn't do a lot of baking at first, lost some weight and decreased my total insulin amount by almost half!) is to be careful of the baked goods! I LOVE to bake (used to do a side-business of cake making and decorating) and once I started really playing around with the flours and finding AWESOME ways to make baked goods... well... my weight shot up again. I'm now eating much less of the baked goodies, concentrating instead on whole foods, and back on track. It can be so difficult to give up something you've missed and got back, but our health is much more improtant... and feels better in the end. emoticon

    Just saw your post on the Celiac & Gluten-Free team site. Welcome. I too am a probable Celiac, type 1 diabetic and on an insulin pump. I don't have everything figured out BUT I've been going at it a while longer than you (2 years now). Please let me know if you have any questions!!!
