Imagine how things could be ... then work to make it a reality

I've been on Spark for a while now ... however, in the past 1 - 1/2 years I have been gone. A back injury basically kept me from doing any real exercise ... but time to change that. I gained back about 10 of the 17 pounds I lost. Not to worry though, I just need to get back on track ... here we go woo woo.

Now that I got the touchy-feely stuffs out of the way....I'm Greg.

I live in that other place. "Other" place??? Well...I mean near Portland. Not Portland, ...

Uhhh...not D.C....the other Washington...the state I mean. And while we're at it....let's toss in Vancouver. No, no...not Vancouver BC...the other Vancouver! Seeee...that "other" place.

I've been poking my head in now and again, reading posts and such. I have to keep up with what's going on with the nerd brigade! I don't use Spark much because track by pen and paper now to stop myself from counting cherry tomatoes. I've had enough of that madness.

I graduated with my MS a couple of weeks ago, I've been in therapy for a hip problem--which has been identified, finally--and I'm about to start training in September for a big-girl job as a medical scribe for my gap year(s).

I'm also studying for the MCAT. That means back to those damnamics and thermodamnamics. Except that it's in MCAT world, where you're supposed to be "intuiting" answers and not calculating them. Which makes me think of the guy on Psych who pretends to solve cases psychically when really he's just really observant.

What's going in that Other Place? How's your back?

I think the MSRP on the carbon Ultegra's is $200, but I've seen them as low as $113 online. Also, I got a VERY excellent deal on my bike - didn't pay full retail

So many questions, so little time. It's actually a Wilier;

Shimano Ultegra components with Shimano RS21 wheelset. Not ultra high-end, but more than suitable for my needs. I currently have Shimano Ultegra pedals, and want to replace with new carbon ones. But, I think I've spent enough already, and will have to wait for the bells and whistles!

I almost always make my salad dressings these days :) including the soy-ginger. Easy! Oil or canola oil, a little sesame oil (sounds like you're a candidate for having that on hand too!), soy sauce and some fresh grated ginger and garlic. Voila!
