Imagine how things could be ... then work to make it a reality

I've been on Spark for a while now ... however, in the past 1 - 1/2 years I have been gone. A back injury basically kept me from doing any real exercise ... but time to change that. I gained back about 10 of the 17 pounds I lost. Not to worry though, I just need to get back on track ... here we go woo woo.

Now that I got the touchy-feely stuffs out of the way....I'm Greg.

I live in that other place. "Other" place??? Well...I mean near Portland. Not Portland, ...

Uhhh...not D.C....the other Washington...the state I mean. And while we're at it....let's toss in Vancouver. No, no...not Vancouver BC...the other Vancouver! Seeee...that "other" place.

Hi Greg,

Thanks for your great comment on my "Pedaling a Bulldozer - Fat Bike" blog. My 9:Zero:7 is a very fast bike. I had this bike custom built at the Golden Bike Shop and specified components that were strong, light, durable and high-quality.

My favorite components are Shimano XT/XTR and Race Face Turbine. I like WTB and Specialized Saddles. My favorite grips are ODI Rogue clamp-on. My 9:Zero:7 has all my favorite parts.

My 9:Zero:7 is a one-of-kind high-performance fat bike. The bike also includes Hope Brothers hubs, Surly Holy Roller Daryl wheels converted to tubeless, and 120TPI Surly Nate tires.

My fat bike is lighter than most regular "skinny tire" mountain bikes at 29 pounds. The 9:Zero:7 frame is hydro-formed and triple butted; and is made from aircraft-grade, heat-treated and stress-relieved 7005 aluminum alloy. All this technical jargon means the 9:Zero:7 frame is extremely light and strong. The finish is a diamond-hard powder coat and just can't be scratched.

The hubs and crank have extremely low friction sealed bearings. This bike looks like a two-wheeled clown car. But the bike is really fast.

Did I mention that I am an engineer by training and temperament?

Thanks, Bruce

Have you ever seen the movie Office Space? I had this image of me flipping over a table, and you kicking it, and then we just go nuts destroying, much like the guys in Office Space do to the printer!
