Make healthy choices. This isn't a diet!

2014 - I've been here since 2005! I work at this thing every day. I have ups and downs, but I keep going. I'm very motivated by the inspiring people here! You all are GREAT!

I bought SPARK and I love that little gadget. It has helped to motivate me to keep walking and strive to improve. It's turned into a personal competition with myself! To be honest, I've put some weight back on and have only been exercising on and off. The SPARK has me going again!

My Goals:
My weight-loss goal is to weigh 150 for now. I will get to 140 after that!

My Program:
Track what I eat in the Nutrition module (don't cheat with this! track everything). Exercise regularly and track it in the Fitness module. I use a variety of exercises that include Sparkpeople fitness videos, walking, Tae Bo.

Personal Information:
I'm married, 55, no children, two dogs, and one cat. See my "loverofanimals" profile for more info if you''re interested.

Other Information:
Interests include gardening, cooking, reading, music, and cruise vacations.

I volunteer at least one day a week at one of our local animal shelters. I'm a member of a CART (County Animal Response Team) and RedRover Responders.

Thx for the goodie! I'm still filled with questions...my cardio doctor doesn't know he is going to have a teaching lecture with me quizzing left & right about my condition next Monday...! :-)

To my knowledge I don't have afib, but atrial flutter. Which I "believe" is a different horse...but have to confess to being really, really lost in conceptualizing heart function and understanding my condition just yet.
