In his book EPIC, John Eldredge proposes the idea that we are drawn to the great movies and stories because they are a reflection of the idea that we are all participants in a great story or a great adventure such as Braveheart or Lord of the Rings. The question from The Hobbit , Samwise Gamgee, comes to mind. "I wonder what sort of stories they will write about us." In his book EPIC, John Eldredge proposes the idea that we are drawn to the great movies and stories because they are a reflection of the idea that we are all participants in a great story or a great adventure such as Braveheart or Lord of the Rings. The question from The Hobbit , Samwise Gamgee, comes to mind. "I wonder what sort of stories they will write about us." My story starts with me as a military brat, I was born in Canada and traveled from there to Minnesota, California, and Tennessee before I settled in Mississippi as a 7 year old. Since then I have gone to School, Married my Grade School Sweetheart, Started a family and traveled to a lot of interesting places. I've had the joyous experience of watching the beginnings of some stories and the bittersweet times of watching the end to others. All of these stories combine to become a part of my story. The story so far has had more ups than downs and I feel blessed to have this life. Thanks for looking as I attempt to share a small part of my story.

My Goals:
Right now, I'm looking for a sub-4 hour marathon on January 3. The eventual goal is a Boston Qualifier.

My Program:
Right now, my training program is based on the Runners World Online Smart Coach Program. The program generally consist of an easy / recovery run on Monday, a quality (Interval or Tempo) run on Wednesday, and a Long Run on Saturday. Tuesday and Thursday are Cross Training Days. Friday and Sunday are Rest Days.

Other Information:
"Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life." Galatians 6:4-5
