Well, I think my audition went pretty good! I think it's going to come down to if they want someone who looks like me or doesn't look like me. So much of this business seems to come down to that, which is frustrating-until you have the look they want!

Hi! Sorry I didn't respond earlier to your comment on my page-my run was a scheduled group training run, and it went quite well. I did have a great holiday, since I met a friend in Chattanooga and we went book shopping at a used bookstore there-I had a bunch of trade credit, and didn't have to spend a dime on a whole bag of books, and I bought my friend's books, too! Then we went to see the new Harry Potter film, and went our separate ways. It was quite nice, if too short of a visit.
I hope your holiday weekend was good, as well. On a less nice note, I didn't get the job I auditioned for, but I'm getting quite used to that. It's been nearly a year since I actually got hired to do acting, so I'm beginning to think I'm in the wrong business...ah well, enough negativity. In answer to your question, no, I've never frozen tofu. How did it change the texture? I did read on some recipe about freezing it, I think to make it firmer. I had great results just using it straight from the package. I used firm tofu because the store I was in didn't have extra firm, which is what I prefer. Next time I'll go to the store I know has the extra firm, and I won't have to cut it in such tiny pieces. I have a thing about texture, so I don't like it mushy. My daughter made the same tofu salad and didn't stir fry it. She just boiled it and it was really good.
I want to try making it like in the Japanese restaurants. My daughter also cooks tofu on her George Foreman grill with tamari (concentrated soy sauce) and loves it that way. 2691 days ago
