Hi! I'm Georgiana and I live in Texas in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I've been exercising regularly for years, but at 38 I'm discovering my metabolism is not quite what it used to be. I also discovered last year that my bad cholesterol was a little higher than it should be. So far I've lost 13 pounds and lowered my bad cholesterol some. Posting a profile on a diet site is a brand new thing for me. I always swore it would drive me crazy to diet and have to keep up with every single thing I ate. Yet I've now decided I'm not willing to continue gaining 2-3 pounds a year for the rest of my life. Thankfully this site made things much easier for me.

For rest of my life I'd love to be in my best shape ever. Exercise has always been easy for me because the endorphins make me feel so much better. Proper nutrition, however, is another story entirely. As a single person it's such a hassle to cook just for myself. I find it very challenging to eat enough fruits and vegetables every day and to find things that are nutritious yet can be prepared in 5-10 minutes.

If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them. I'd also love to hear your story and chat with you. Hopefully I'll get my photo posted soon.

Welcome back to SP! I can relate to your comment about gaining 2-3 lbs/year. Uggh! So nasty! Earlier this year I started (again) logging everything I ate and every time I exercise in attempt to lose some of this nastiness. The result felt slow in the beginning, but in April I have lost one pound per week. Slow, but steady. I feel confident I can keep this up this time. If I keep losing that one pound per week I'll be at my goal weight by mid August. I just discovered the calorie differential report on SP. That is such a great feature! I'm using it every day now, and feel more in control with it. Good luck, and have fun along the way!
