Scales are just a tool, I find they are at best unreliable. Last week I was on two different scales on two different days. The first was a the YMCA, one day I got on it and it gave me a weight that I gained 3 lbs. The very next day, I got a reading that was 8 lbs lighter and so I had lost 5 lbs. I sensed neither was exactly correct.
Then at home it can vary a few lbs. I have even used the same scale within minutes and seen a variance of about 5 lbs. To me habits and dedication are more important barometers. Do the right thing and you will come out at the right place.
Also I am convinced weight loss is more of a plateau than a linear thing, we take steps down, rather than a smooth line. Some times the body will hold on to weight, for a survival thing, and then when it sees it is safe it will allow a whole bunch to be shed. Not so important as moving forward. 2140 days ago
