By chance, or by the prompting of Angels, I found SparkPeople by first logging on to the internet to find the calorie count for a teaspoon of sugar. One of the sites to look it up was SparkPeople! I joined immediately and downloaded the book The Spark to my Kindle and began The Rest Of My Life. I'm 60. Been married to a wonderful guy (his name is Spark!) for 40 years. We have a daughter and son and 5 grandchildren. Also a german shepherd doggie named Clementine. I grew up in So California and 9 years ago moved to the Pacific Northwest...Washington State. I have struggled with being very overweight for a long time. It's time to change my thinking about a lot of things. SparkPeople is showing me how to do this. Little steps, little goals and I'll get there. The Rest of My Life is waiting for me...

My Goals:
I'm going to lose at least 75 - 100 pounds. That sounds so daunting so I'm breaking it down into little increments.

5 Jul 2014 239.2 Life happens
10 Jul 2014 235.0 Totally back on track now. My body and mind are finally ready. Here's to getting really healthy!

My Program:
I'm following the 30/40/30 plan. I will track fitness and nutrition every day. Found out I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and I'm Hypothyroid so that's making the weight come off very slowly. I will not give up!

Personal Information:
I am researching my family history. I have found so many, many interesting, funny and sometimes tragic stories about my ancestors. Finding who my ancestors were has been so rewarding. I want to leave a legacy of their stories for my children. They will never be forgotten.

Other Information:
I am trying to learn how to play the piano, chord style. (Hope my dog doesn't howl haha)

I love to read, do counted cross stitch and key genealogy records for the Ancestry World Archives Project.

I love Jesus, the Beatles, Gone With the Wind and On Golden Pond, and A River Runs Through It.

I love to spend time with my children and grandhildren and especially my cute husband.

Aw, love the picture of your grandkids! My two grandsons have moved to Colorado so I won't be seeing them as often any more emoticon
But I'm very lucky that my 13 year old granddaughter is taking my Tai Chi class and seems to be helping her a lot, and she enjoys it! emoticon

    Day 8! emoticon
You can do this - I love how I'm feeling after doing this Linda Spangle journey for the past 68 days - I really hope you can feel the benefits too.

If I can help in any way with your Cornwall family history tracking - let me know

Whew! Yeah, the weather has just been awful all the way around, and disasters are pretty even-handed with whom they destroy emoticon Our town is still cleaning up from last fall's floods. When we drove through Illinois this past weekend we saw trees just twisted and mangled by the wind. Nature is a force to be reckoned with. I am so sorry for those people and their families, but very, very happy that you and yours are well.
