Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to visit my page!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to visit my page!

I've struggled with weight loss most of my life, although my morbid obesity didn't kick in until I was in my 30's. Although I was around 342 lbs. when I became a member of this site, I actually hit my all-time high of 373.8 lbs. on April 28, 2007 and started losing weight gradually by making eating and exercising modifications here and there. I started on a program in earnest this past August. A recent family tragedy has given me a "do or die" (literallY) attitude about my weight loss, and now there's no stopping me. Physically, I am feeling SO much better than I have in years. I can't believe I've wasted all of this time being sick, tired, unhealthy and unattractive. (Some people can carry their extra weight well; I'm not one of those people.) I only wish I had this attitude about 20 years ago. Oh, well...better late than never! :o)

My Goals:
My new immediate goal is to lose enough weight to use my more accurate scale, which "only" weighs up to 330 lbs. My next immediate goal is to FINALLY be under 300 lbs. by January 1, 2009. Beyond that, I would like to lose at least another 100 lbs. by the end of June 2009. Agressive, I know...but it's possible!

My Program:
My main program is Michael Thurmond's Six Week Body Makeover plan. I'll be using a more accelerated version of the plan, which will include one hour on a treadmill each day. (Right now I plan to do 30 minutes each day.) I eat properly combined, low-fat meals every 2-3 hours, and drink lots of water. I am also doing the body shaping exercises and still need to implement strengthening exercises.

Personal Information:
You can find more info about me on my MySpace page - www.myspace.com/liveloughlaughgp. I also host a MySpace fan site of jazz singer/comedian Lea DeLaria (www.myspace.com/leadelariaunlimited) and assist Ms. DeLaria in maintaining her official MySpace Music page (www.myspace.com/leadelaria).

Hey there. How are you? I'm doing ok. I'm a certified health coach now on the side and full time working at a dr office in pleasant valley. Still struggling with everything. Hope you're well.

Hey! I'm a fellow band nerd (I use the term affectionately!) though I play the flute. I just wanted to wish you great committment, since luck has nothing to do with it. I wish you great strength, too, especially when you've slipped up (it happens! Don't be so hard on yourself! Just use your strength to get back on the bandwagon! Pun intended). I wish you peace with yourself, and pat yourself on the back once in a while. And I wish you blinders to see your journey one day at a time. Just take it one day at a time.... (repeat) one day at a time....(repeat as often as needed).

Today, was it good? Or not as good as you were hoping it to be? Remember, tomorrow is a brand new day. emoticon
