Less Thinking More Action

In my time on Sparkpeople I have managed to quit smoking since May 4, 2010 after a 26 year habit, kicked a 20 year Mountaindew habit, and have learned to love the endorphin high of working out. I have seriously decreased my pain level and learned how to eat healthy.

My Goals:
My goal is to keep my pain and stress level down, my energy level up, and continue working on being healthy and toning up. New goal is to get off one of my blood pressure meds.

My Program:
walking, working out on elliptical, yoga, and/or strength training, and stretching every day first thing in the morning. 15 - 20 minutes walks at work during the lunch hour several days a week. Calories under 1800 6 days weekly-with 1 2,000 calorie day. Plenty of water, protein, fruits, veggies, and low fat dairy daily. Eat mostly unprocessed food.

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!
