GDY2SHUZ Never Give Up!
I am a 60+ woman. I've lost 50+ lbs and have 4lbs to get to my first target. I hope it wil be soon. The last few pounds seem to take forever, this will help me keep healthy and more able to enjoy my grandchildren. Next goal will be 5lbs. then WOW!! Reached that first "Goal!" I feel "FANTASTIC" and very "HAPPY". Now to tackle the last 5 lbs. This site is wonderful, can find "Inspiration" every day.

My Goals:
Have kept this weight off for 20+ years. Had a mini sroke a year ago and have just started to walk without a cane. Still need it for stairs. Got medical excuse to tied me over the hump. Being inactive; although in therapy; the hospital had changed my food plan. I put on 15 lbs. I lost 5 of those lbs before joining SP. I got to my first goal and feel pretty good. But hit a plateau. Didn't loose or gain for 5 weeks. Finally lost .25 lb. Now for the last 10 lbs. Sure is taking a long time. Dec 2008 DH had surgery to replace his Aortic valve in the heart. Just before Christmas I was told I had a Herniated Disc in my neck. Affecting my left arm and hand, also both legs , causeing fire in my feet. Involving both sciatic nerves. It took a long time to walk and get to exercise. Sept 19th of 2011 I fell hurting both knees and shins. it is over a month and there is still pain and bruises. I have tried to do some se
My Program:
Getting Assessment done in Aug to start exercise progarm, specialised for Stroke Recovery. In Nov 2010 I started Acupuncture, wish I had tried it long ago. Great success with treatment and still improving.
Other Information:
I love to read, knit, crochet (when arthritis isn't acting up), variuos crafts. Would like to add dancing at some point.
