Making changes!

I have edited this so many times, that I am just going to make it simple to start. I want to change my mind and in the process, change my body. Actually both equally. My mind is my saboteur. I want to get both right. I am going to do lots of journaling on here until I can't think of anything else to say. I am going to be truthful with myself. No lying, fibbing, exxagerating or denying. I am doing this for ME as well as those I love.

My Goals:
Get down to 165 lbs and reward myself with a CRUISE!


My Program:
I am starting today to add the following vitamins/minerals to my diet. Per Dr. Roizen:

-Half of a multi-vitamin (with at least 500 IU of vitamin D) 1/2 in morning/ 1/2 in evening.
-600 mg of calcium
-200 mg of magnesium
-600 mg of omega-3 DHA
-162.5 mg of ASA a day


I have found out that my BMR is only 2560 and you are supposed to eat 500 calories less than that a day so knowing that:
-2060 Calories or less per day

I am going to use the tools that Spark has to bring on my success!


Other Information:
Things I can do to help!
-Journal
-Pray/meditate/speak verses out loud
-Exercise and record it
-Read books or on computer about weight loss
-Watch programs like Extreme Weight Loss
-Cook/bake something
-Clean/organize something

Hi there Girl, and it's good to see you back. You know that no matter how many times we start, the main thing is that we start over and don't give up ever. That must be me, because I keep staying here forever it seems and yet, still that nasty 20# up and still working on it. On Dec. 15th, I had my right knee totally replaced, so that has given me a new reason and a new feeling to get moving and grooving to get this extra weight off. I can't wait to be able to walk again, I mean like other people really walk! Now that is a good feeling! I'm doing the P/T exercises like I'm supposed to and hopefully this will pay off down the road. So here's to us....... emoticon we will do it. 2015 will be our year! emoticon

Hi Gayle! I added you after I read your blog about the day after Christmas and starting a new day and a new way of eating, etc. I found your blog when I was looking at different blogs to read. Wow, can I ever enter in to what you're going through. Ya, me too! I joined SP in August of 2011 after I had lost some pounds and lost a total of 67# with SP and before. Since then, I've gained 15# back and have lost my motivation. Oh, I still exercise and still track everything, it's just that I like to eat too much of everything. I'm a sugar addict and once I start, it's like I can't stop! I won't give up though and it looks like you won't either. We will make 2014 our year of success! emoticon PS....I have RA too, so I know that we have to push through the pain! You and I can relate to each other on that level too! emoticon emoticon

Hey girl! THANK YOU for the lovely comment on my page! It made my entire week when I saw that.

Things here are lovely. I am excited (and scared) to get back on the weight loss wagon. I did really well at KEEPING it off; I hope I can lose it again after baby comes. It was such a challenge.

I hope you are doing well and keeping healthy! If I have one tip - it's to change one thing at a time. It worked for me on round one - I will let you know how it works on round two! :)
