Ready and Determined !!!

I am going to be 50 in December and have reached a point in my life where I want to live and LOOK healthy! I have a wonderful group of friends dating back to High School whom I chat with on Facebook and they are cyber cheerleaders for me. My goal is to loose 50 pounds by my 50th birthday. I quit smoking cold turkey 3 years ago after smoking over 30 years. I can do this...I just need support, words of wisdom and a shoulder to cry on when I fall off the wagon !

Update 4/18/2010- I have decided I want my goal weight to be less than I orignally wanted. I can do it. I set a goal weight of 170, thinking that as the best I cando. NO ! I can do better than that...I have more self worth than that. I want to obtain a goal weight of 150. A total of 98 pounds from my start weight. I have been ***SPARKED ***

Update 4/21/2010- Saw some people I have not seen in a while and they said I didn't look "as puffy around the face and neck area" as I had in the past. Heck yeah, that was a compliment !!!

Updated 5/8/2010- Pants size down from 22 to 18 love it !

Updated 5/9/2010- I had measured myself on 4/7/10 and didn't realize you can post measurements on the tracking system here... I measured again today 5/9/2010. WOW....AM I LOOSING INCHES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bust- 4/7= 52 1/2 5/9 =49
Waist- 4/7 =46 5/9= 44 1/2
Hips- 4/7 = 51 5/9= 49
Thigh- 4/7=28 1/2 5/9=28
Upper Arm 4/7= 14 1/2 5/9= 14 1/2

Total of 7 1/2 inches off of my body ~:-D SOOO happy

I miss you girly Gayle, your new job is just not working out for me! All is well here, bit hectic, which translates to spending more time and doing more for others than focusing on myself, but I will pop back. Working to late thats for sure. Fitting in short walks, although short they are becoming a habit which is good.
How the hec are you, it may take a little bit to adjust , you will, your one determined lady!!!!! write soon

Hi,
I didnt do to bad. I had a few off moments, but didnt let them stop me. I've lost 3lbs since last Sunday, 5lbs total. My friends and I started a 10 week program to see who can lose the most percentage in body weight. Our 4th week starts tomorrow....I'm in 3rd out of the 3 of us, lol. I dont let it get to me....I see past it all and am looking at 'my' goal.
How have you been doing? I've read some of your blogs and some other blogs...this site is VERY motivational. I LOVE the nutrition and fitness tracker. Talk to you soon....hope all is well.
