Ok then, let's try again...:)

Hi, not doing so well on my own in this wt loss thing, so decided to join an online group. I only started gaining wt after I started my first job. Before that I was between 108 & 115. I have lost wt a FEW times but, as usual, gained it back and then some. Hoping not to repeat that. I know my overeating is mostly emotional but how to fix that, not so sure. I watch a lot of tv when not at work or sleeping, or get on the computer for whatever reason (nothing on tv?). I DO find that being at the 'puter stops my eating cos my hands are busy. Oh, I'm also type 2 Diabetic. Runs in the family, but my oldest brother and I were both diagnosed when we were 25 or less lbs overweight. Him, less than 20, so obesity wasn't the issue. Anyway, hoping that wt loss will help in that and energy (never have had much) and just plain LOOKING GOOD! :) I am AMAZED at what some members have achieved! It's AWESOME and AWE-inspiring...MOTIVATING! I actually went for a walk through a park nearby this morning. It's Victoria Day here, so a day off work here in Canada, and it was nice out, and given how I've eaten this long weekend, I seized the moment and went. Kinda proud of myself for that. :) Now to keep DOING such things! :)

you asked what an emergent cj=hristian is.... good question...! The emerging church favors the use of simple story and narrative. Members of the movement often place a high value on good works or social activism, including missional living.... that's the wikepedia definition. i dony know how to describe it.... read 'a new kind of christian' or anything by brian mclaren... it's a perspective that embraces living over evangelizing... they will know we are christians by our love...
