I hope you are doing well and staying positive. It's important to remember that we all face obstacles and "slip" every once in a while. It's important to forgive ourselves and put as much effort into finding a reason for and solution to the slip as we do in beating ourselves up over it. That's one of the hardest things for me to accept and do. Stay strong and determined to do the best you can today - that’s all we can ask of ourselves. Sheila 1870 days ago
Thank you for your very nice post on my blog and for your prayers. You sound like you stay active in your retirement. That is another goal of mine - in six years. I lived in Georgia for six years in the 90's and really miss it.
“Changing our diet is something we choose to do, not something we are forced to do. Instead of dreading it, try saying, ''Here's another thing I get to do to help myself. Great!'' ~ Greg Anderson
That quote hits home with me as I get older. I know that I have undone much of the healthy progress I had made (as my latest doctor’s appointment showed!).
I am beginning March with renewed determination to live a healthier lifestyle and make positive movements toward the ME I want to be. Let’s travel this road to health together! Sheila 1883 days ago

Hi There GAUNTTRUE~~lol~~ and until I get to know your first name..that is what I will have to call you for now... I have added you on as a friend...for several reasons...LOL... 1) you are my age!! 2) you sound so very very nice from the comment on my Spark Page 3) when I came to your Spark page I see this gorgeous looking woman who looks a LOT younger then me~~ so I need to find out how you do that? 4) I love to chat and I love to help people ( thats the nurse in me) 5) I need to lose 30 lbs...( grrrr...I had this down to just 10 lbs to reach my goal but gained 20 when I stopped smoking last October~) 6) I just know you will make a friend on here!
So... my friend~~
I joined Sparks on a year ago come...April this yr...BUT I started my journey before I knew about Sparks back in February 2010~~ so have been on my journey 2 years now. And it is a great journey and I have learned loads!! Joining Sparks has let me make a lot of friends who are in the same boat I am...trying to lose weight and not always doing it very well~~~LOL A lot of the advice from the Sparks site was "old coat" to me as I had already figured most of it out on my own~~ or should I say with my hubby. But I love reading Blogs and "helping" if I can and what I did notice by joining Sparks is that I see people who are struggling like me and some who have lives a lot worse then I have ever had. Oh Yeah...I also added you as a friend because you are now married to your High School Sweetheart~~ I am in a second marriage and he is my best friend...he was my friend long before becoming my hubby. We met on the internet and became friends long before we even met in person. Even if we had never met or ended up getting married...this man would still be my best friend~ I have several close girlfriends but there are still things I had never and could never tell them BUT hubby....I trust him with my inner most feelings and fears! He might not always agree with me but he never makes me feel badly....just helps me find a way to deal with whatever it is...I Love him to bits ~I do!
PS...I have a son who lives in South Carolina...not tat far away from you~~ I think eh?
