I am Grandma to 6 wonderful grandchildren and I want to be around for a long time to enjoy them. I have a job that I love as a receptionist in a hospital so I do a lot of sitting 5 or 6 days a week. I would like to lose 56 lbs so I can have more energy. I have had a knee replacement and have not excercised like I should.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am glad you got a few cooking tips out of the deal! :-)

Here's another one: I just had dinner which consisted of 1) sautéed on med-low heat 1/4 cup grated carrots, half a thinly sliced red onion, and a med sized sliced zucchini with a pinch of salt and pepper. I then added some eggs and made me a veggie egg scramble.

And one last one: I get a lot of fruit in my CSA box that I don't always eat. So, I chop into small pieces and freeze. When I'm in a hurry in the AM, I pour in my blender: 1 cup of ff milk (or plain yogurt), 1 Tbs honey (more if I use yogurt), a dash of ground cinnamon, a Tbs peanut butter, and a handful or two of frozen fruit. It make a yummy smoothy with protein, fiber and calcium! :-) This works well with soy or rice milk too, if you're lactose intolerant.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Even though I don't usually get in my full 8 glasses each day, I usually get up to 6 or 7. But this illness just messed me up! Fortunately, I'm feeling better now, so I can get back up on that hydrated wagon!
