Alma's new challenge

I have always been somewhat overweight. I am teaching my self a new way of living and new eating habits. Early this year I realized that I was passing 195 lbs, my heaviest ever. I was shock yet motivated to get those pounds off. I started to exercise and lost about 8 ponds in almost 6 weeks. I was lucky enough to come accross the spark people group and I am on my way to a healthy me.

My short term goal was to exercise 4 - 5 days a week and find the right activitie sto boost ...

I was shock yet motivated to get those pounds off. I started to exercise and lost about 8 ponds in almost 6 weeks. I was lucky enough to come accross the spark people group and I am on my way to a healthy me.

My short term goal was to exercise 4 - 5 days a week and find the right activitie sto boost my metabolism and get rid of those pounds. I was also in desperate need of a more balance meal plan and appropiate portions. I realized that I am seeing a difference in weight but most of all my body is transforming to a different shape. I feel stronger and live a happier active life.

My goal is to be less than 150 lbs by October 30th, which will be my 29th birthday. My ideal weight was set to be around 140 but I do not have that set on stone as I know our bodies are different and gaining muscle and being strong is important to me. I am focusing on a healthy life style. Who knows maybe I will look great at 130 lbs.

Okay divas, listen up! I hope I have your attention. For some time now many of us have been struggling on our weight loss journey. For some its with eating, or exercising, others its both and then there are some who have lost all control and have not only fell off the wagon, but you're running after it now. Enough is enough already, that's what I say. We all fall down, but its what we do when getting back up that makes the difference.

Today, I ask you to recommit to yourself and to your weight loss journey. If you've been an active member of the team, off and on, or joined but have never chatted or done the challenges with us. This is your time to come back and join the team and get yourself going back on your journey. We do not judge on this team. No one will get on you if you fell off the wagon, we'll help you get back up to continue on your way. We all fall down and struggle, but you have a team to help you get through it this time. There's no day like today to get back up and keep on going. Don't say you're wait till Monday because we all do that. Take control right here, right now. We can do this as a team. So, who's with me on this? Here's something that will get you motivated to start in the right direction....
