Git er Done

It's time to limit the junk food, eat healthier, and firm up this flabby body in order to enjoy our five energetic grandchildren for many years to come. My mind is ready to hike mountains, run a 5K, and bike long distances, but my body needs a little work in order to accomplish those goals. It's time for no excuses and dedication in order to Git er Done. I'm looking forward to the companionship and encouragement as I travel this journey of finding a healthier me.

Wow! I'm back ...

Wow! I'm back again with the same goal. After working hard and doing so well, I fell off the wagon and gained everything back plus some. Bummer! I refuse to give in to this and have decided it's time to head in the right direction again. No more excuses. Waiting until I feel motivated to start a weight loss/healthy eating plan hasn't happened, so it's time to take the bull by the horns and do it anyway. Perhaps you can spark that motivation that I so desperately need. I feed off of other people's success, so I know this is the right place to be. Time to Git er Done!

My Goals:
- 10,000 steps a day
- 8 glasses of water
- track food and exercise

Borrowed from LDRICHEL
(A good plan to follow.)

1. Three new gratitudes each day will teach your brain to retain a pattern of scanning the world not for the negative, but for the positive first.

2. Journaling about one positive experience you've had over the past 24 hours allows your brain to re-live it.

3. Exercise teaches your brain that your behavior matters.

4. Meditation allows your brain to get over the cultural ADHD that we've been creating by trying to do multiple tasks at once.

5. Random or conscious acts of kindness - send a positive e-mail to thank or praise someone in your social support network.

So, let's do this thing!

My Program:
To meet my goals, I'm getting a walk in early in the day and track food as soon as I eat when possible.

Other Information:
Weekly Steps:

7/7 - 7/13 66,866
7/14- 7/20 70,300

Some of us are slower learners than others. emoticon This is my third time here and I finally GOT it! July 23rd will be my 1 year anniversary of reaching goal. You can do it, too!
