This is me after a year. I'm down 15 pounds and 1.5 pants sizes from when I started.





After several years of working out and trying to eat right, this is where I am: +10 lbs on goal.

I started out at 183 lbs in June 2008 when I first started my diet and my attempt at healthy living. My ultimate goal is to get a flat belly and to have good strong and toned muscles. Nearly 2 years later, I'm down to 153 lbs, size 10 pants, medium tops, skinnier all around, and able to bike 20 miles without getting into my heartrate "zone".

When I was in college, I never thought I'd be able to be as skinny as I am today. I thought I was chubby, had always been chubby, and always would be chubby. That's just the way I was built! But after several years of hard work (including 1 year before I joined Spark People), I'm the smallest I've ever been. Now I know you really can lose weight if you just try hard enough!

I practice karate and received my shodan in December 2009. Surviving that test is really what it was all about, so I spent a lot of time working on my stamina and strength just to make it through. I also ride a bike during the summer and do some Beachbody workouts. I'm currently surviving P90X. It really is a great workout. I tell myself every time when I'm feeling tired "Bring It!", and I push a little harder. And now I'm trying Turbo Fire. Gotta love Beachbody.

karate, summer biking, walking as much as possible, and generally trying to be active more than sedentary.
