I'm a middle aged (if I live to around 100!) mother and grandmother who really wants to be around for a good long time (Think great grand children). I've struggled with weight issues for my entire adult life, and have lost over 100 lbs. for the last time. I have decided that to be successful at maintaining permanent weight control, I have to be in control. I want to use this as my accountability tool, to keep myself in the habit of good nutrition, healthy portions and maintain an activity level that will promote finess and well being. Being a member of a like minded community seems like a giant step toward success.

Fitness Minutes: 14,818

My Goals:
Now that I have lost 160+ lbs, using what I ve learned , and continue to glean from my community, I am going to maintain my current weight within a 5 lb. range for good!

My Program:
No MAGIC Bullet here.
Just common sense:
-Clean, unrefined or minimally processed grains
-Little added sugar and avoid High Fructose CS whenever possible
-Predominantly fresh, preferably organic vegetables and fruits
-Lean, preferably organic proteins
-Nutritionally dense delicious small portions

Personal Information:
I hail from the Northeast US, and now live in paradise, I mean Florida.

Other Information:
I ride my bicycle to and from work every day, because I can, living where other people vacation! I am so grateful for this because bike riding is my absolute favorite way to get exercise, and it helps to keep my carbon footprint smaller than it used to be. Another way I like to do this is to buy local, unpackaged or minimally packaged produce that has not been freighted from across the country or shipped from other countries at a huge carbon cost to the environment. I also recycle,re-use or re-purpose most of the packaging I do have to buy!

    Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am feeling a little better today. My Sis is taking care of me. But I will definitely call my doctor on Monday and let her know what happened.
