Here I am, once again, losing weight. I had lost down to 115lbs. and was able to maintain my weight between 115 and 120 for over four years. Then, I got married. My husband was overweight and very threatened by my thinness. He was constantly putting me in a position where I ate unhealthy and was unable to maintain my exercise program. I'm not blaming him (not totally, anyway!) I allowed him to control me and did not stand up for what was important to me. Now, I am divorced, unemployed and, of course, overweight! I weigh 139lbs. I am trying to find a new job, but all my work clothes were bought for a 115lb. person. I cannot afford a new wardrobe and I will not be "fat and happy." I have done it before and I will do it again. It is just harder this time-I'm 43 years old! I just need some guidance and encouragement. I just need to know what to count, how much it should be, and what foods are best to reach my goal. I am back to exercising (walk/run, workout tapes) and I just need a little bit of help!

P.S. I didn't have room for all four of my kids on the main page so I put my grandkids on. My kids are in my photo gallery, though!!

My Goals:
To lose weight, establish a healthy lifestyle, and be happy with my self image.


My Program:
I was trying to keep my calories between 1,200 and 1,300, but the eating plan is 1,200 to 1,550. I have found when I go on the higher end, I actually lose weight, so...And I am exercising four to five times a week. I walk/run and do exercise tapes. I have also added strength training to my program.

You have so much to live for and be happy, right now! Congratulations!     Yes, Boston's are the cutest, once you have one you'll never want another type of dog. Good luck on the weight loss, isn't it just so frustrating, when you wait a whole week to get weighed, following your food intake and exercise as you should, and that scale says no change??? GRRR Someone told me I wasn't eating quite enough, so I upped it a bit, and it didn't help, LOL emoticon
