The above quote is one of my favorites, and so true. We often feel so much pressure to be something we're not. So much so, in fact, that our real selves get buried so deep that we forget who we are; we forget what makes us happy; we forget to yearn for something better. ...

The above quote is one of my favorites, and so true. We often feel so much pressure to be something we're not. So much so, in fact, that our real selves get buried so deep that we forget who we are; we forget what makes us happy; we forget to yearn for something better.

I simply want to be the best person that I can be. My journey will be a lifestyle, not a diet, because my reasons are way beyond only achieving a "hot body". After all, I didn't get to this place for no good reason. I am here because of baggage - all kinds of baggage (aren't most of us?) which means tha there is an entire mental/emotional aspect that goes along with this ride that is often underlooked. So, in addition to my fitness and nutrition goals, I will be:

1. Re-learning myself (Who am I really?)
2. Discovering what makes me happy (What do I enjoy so much that I lose track of time?)
3. Breaking down barriers (What is standing in my way? Negative friends? Family?)
4. Setting my sights higher; not settling (What do I think I don't deserve?)

Character traits needed for this:
1. Curiosity
2. Creativity
3. Courage
4. Determination/Boldness

The "hot body" will just be an added perk at the end. ; )
