Time to Take Control

Hi Fellow Sparkers,

I have been using this site now for over a month and thought it was time to create my SparkPage. I am 34 and live in the Sebago Lake region of Maine. I enjoy being in the outdoors year round.

Hi Fellow Sparkers,

I have been using this site now for over a month and thought it was time to create my SparkPage. I am 34 and live in the Sebago Lake region of Maine. I enjoy being in the outdoors year round.

I have always been active but have trouble on the food end. The tools on this site have helped me to already lose 10 pounds although I have a long way to go. My biggest motivation is to prevent the onset of health issues that my mom and now my sister are experiencing.

I also enjoy the challenges of staying within my calories and exercising at least 30 minutes a day. I like to see where a rank among team Spark Maine.

My biggest supporter is probably my chocolate lab mix Brody. He is always ready to go for a walk, snow shoe, swim etc. He even hangs out with me during weight training.

I am also lucky enough to have a good friend who lives just down the street. She has a sheppard who also enjoys walks. Last week we also starting going to water aerobics together once a week for variety.

I think my biggest challenge will be sticking with this life change for the long haul. Right now I am still full speed ahead but I am sure there will be some speed bumps in my future.

My Goals:
Met first goal of lossing 20 pounds by May 15th. Now on my way to loss 15 more by Aug 15th.

Would like to loss at least 50 pounds total in the next year or two.

My Program:
Get at least 30 mins of some sort of exercise every day.

Walk dog as many days as possible.

Strength train 3x/wk.

Try to stay within cal range as much as possible.

Thanks for the treat!! It made me crack up because the batteries in mine just went out so I am heading to the store to see if I can replace it, can't live without counting my steps :) hehe! emoticon

Thank you for my first goodie, it is wonderful to meet new people whio share the same goals and love their dogs as much as we do. My new baby girl is so wonderful and I love to spend as much time as possible with her, it is great to see you have been able to commit to so much cardio time, it is beautiful outdoors, we are headed out for our first ever family camping trip today...I hope you are able to spend sometime outdoors this weekend, Happy Memorial Day!
