More Abundant Life

Life really gets hard sometimes; especially today when our economy is so bad, job loss and family crisis coming and going. We can easily get discouraged but listen to what John tells us. John 10:10-11 - "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” The thief can be considered all those things in our lives that seem to drain the life out of us. But note ...
But note what the two underlined words mean: The Greek word for life is Zoe – referring to the principle of life in the spirit and soul; Expressing all of the highest and best which Christ is and which He gives to the saints; The highest blessedness of the creature. The Greek word for abundance is Perissos – in this passage meaning – abundantly of abundance – exceeding above, above the greatest abundance – superabundantly.

WOW! Did you get that? Our Jesus offers us “the highest blessedness of the creature” in “superabundance”. Will we still have problems and hurts? Yes. But God loves us so much He was willing to send His one and only Son - John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. When Jesus died on the cross He opened up a new world to those who will accept Him. Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." When we accept Christ as our personal Lord and Savior He gives us “life” in “abundance.” This may not mean we will get rich or have no problems but it means He wants us to have HIM and with Him we have “life”. Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and THE LIFE”, not only life in heaven-eternally but “life” on this earth. WOW! What a Savior we have. If you have not accepted this “Jesus” then will you? Start living your life in “abundance”.

Hello!

I thought that it was time for me to stop and visit you,
And let you know that I've asked God to take good care of you;
I asked Him to protect you and your family all week long,
And that each day you'll find He has filled your heart with song.
I've asked Him to provide your needs, whatever they may be,
And that you'll know exactly what your friendship means to me.
And I've asked Him to fill your days with joy and happiness,
And so for now, I'll say good night! I pray your week is blessed!

I know God has a purpose, in everything He does
And so I'm sending this to you, simply because
Your friendship is a gift that I've been given on the way
And I want you to know how wonderful you are today

You see, when things are going wrong, I know that you are there
You always know the things to say to show me that you care
And yet I know that you are there throughout the good times, too
To celebrate my happiness and my successes, too

And so I thought I'd take the time to stop and visit you
And thank you for the countless things that you always do
I pray that God will pour His blessings out on you today
And let you know that you mean more than words could ever say.

Thank you for being such a wonderful friend!

I thought I would take just a minute
To leave a message for you;
God loves you and thinks you are special
And He wants all the best things for you.
I know that He hears and He answers
The requests of our hearts when we pray;
So I asked Him to pour out His blessings
And send you a wonderful day!

Have a tremendously blessed weekend!
