My name is Cassie Cottrill, I'm 21 years old. I'm in my Junior year of college. I also have a job that I work as many hours as possible at! For as long as I can remember, I've also been referred to as pleasantly plump. However, I can remember in my early teen years that I had a healthy relationship with food. My name is Cassie Cottrill, I'm 21 years old. I'm in my Junior year of college. I also have a job that I work as many hours as possible at! For as long as I can remember, I've also been referred to as pleasantly plump. However, I can remember in my early teen years that I had a healthy relationship with food. I ate until I was almost full and didn't eat a ton of sweets. However, as I enterered high school, I started stress eating and eventually gained weight. By my senior year I was overweight and unhappy with my body. This was the very first time I had taken any real steps toward improving my habits and I lost about 30-40 pounds and was about about 160. Right after high school I got married and started college. I didn't realize just how big of a transition this would be or how difficult it would be to maintain my healthy lifestyle. Over time, i gained back all of my weight lost and then some. I wanted to get back on track so I would yo-yo diet often. It seemed like every week I was promising to do better but ended up doing worse than ever! After my 21st birthday, I decided it would be an excellent idea to try to get back on track. This time was different because I grabbed a few friends and got everyone I knew involved! Now, I get in exercise as often as possible. The biggest lesson I have learned so far is that, I'm happier when I'm on a sensible diet and exercise routine. I shouldn't change my lifestyle to loose weight (although it's an excellent plus), my lifestyle change should be because I want to be HAPPY! With that said, I'm learning how to balance good nutrition and not feel like I can't ever splurge.
