My philosophy about life is everything in moderation. Balance is important. Sadly, my balance has been skewed recently toward a more sedentary lifestyle. I'm working to overcome that, one step at a time.

I have seen and felt dramatic changes since I really got serious about Spark. I measure my success by how much stronger I have become since I began this journey. I know I've got a long way to go before I reach my goal and that there will be trials along the way, but I will achieve everything I set for myself and more. That is my pledge.

Short term goals:

- Exercise at least 3x/wk

- Keep house picked up

- Eat healthier


Long term goals:

- Exercise weekdays

- Run an orderly home

- Live a healthy lifestyle





My Program:
Chipping a little at a time.

- Spend less time w/ TV

- Spend more time outdoors

- Walk whenever possible

- More produce, less starch. PROTEIN!!

- Portion control when eating out

I was born & raised in Central Illinois and proud of it. My roots are in the heartland and I intend to stay here for some time.

One day I looked at the scale and that leading digit was a 2. I wondered how I had let myself get to that point. I used to fuss over those extra few pounds, but somehow they had mushroomed. I resolved to do something about it. I miss being and feeling healthy. I miss turning heads. Just because I'm over 30 doesn't mean I have to let myself go. Instead of listening to the apathy, I used my revelation to set my feet firmly on the course toward fitness. This is my path. Want to come with me?

I read, write, and think for work. The only thing missing is activity and it would be perfect.

I love to make things. I make jewelry, specifically knitting chains. I taught myself the craft and still struggle at times, but it is rewarding. I turned to jewelry because I didn't like the way clothes looked on me. Now I want to make the entire ensemble. I've recently been given a sewing machine & hope to make clothes to fit the new me and go with that jewelry that the old me collected.
