Hi my name is Mary and I want to lose some serious poundage and get stronger too, I have set my goal at 40 lbs and then when I reach that I will set my next goal.


I have started seeing progress even if the scales don't move alot the tape measure sure helps in keeping motivation going. I had been weighing everyday but I am only going to record it once a week now on Sundays. I could go crazy with the ups and downs of the scale! I am tempted to throw it out but I am way too ...

My Goals:
A lifestyle change with diet and exercise

meeting friends

having fun with this.

I want to lose 40 pounds to begin with, I would love to see what under 200 lbs feels like. Mostly I want to learn how to eat right.

My Program:
tracking my food now just getting started with it and cardio and strength training

I am riding the bike 3-5 times a week and doing other workouts as well. working with weights and toning things I did not know I had :)

Personal Information:
I am 47 years old and live in NC right now actually have been everywhere and will be headed to Russia soon to work

Other Information:
I would like to quit smoking as well but I have tried 50000 times it seems. I know it can be done, Other people have done it. One problem is when I quit smoking I gain more weight. I hoping once I learn how to eat right that it will become a lifestyle change that won't change when I do quit smoking again.

Good morning! I like your status about making small changes. You are so right! When I get off track, that's where I return. Just logging every single bite I take is a huge wake up call to me, no matter how many times I've done it in the past.

We can do this. Life is too short to keep wasting it on regret!
