Monday I will start a new journey. I know many people think that Weight loss surgery is the easy way out when it comes to losing weight but for some it is the right choice. I really hesitated on whether or not I wanted to post this and share the fact that I will be having Gastric sleeve surgery on Monday. Sometimes there are negative connotations about WLS. I had the Lap Band 5 yrs ago and was very successful. I lost 85 lbs. But the Band failed me. I have had 2 slips and now I must by Doctor Orders have the band removed. In order for me to reach my goal and continue to improve my health and my weight loss the answer was a revision surgery. The WLS is NOT a quick fix; it is a tool that will enable me to continue this journey. I will still need to work hard at changing my eating habits and exercise. The WLS will just help me to eat smaller amounts; the rest will still be up to me. Exercise and good food choices. I am excited to begin this new journey and become the person I know I am meant to be.
