Project 135

I've always been fat - at 200 lbs and at 136 lbs. FAT, FAT, FAT. It wasn't necessarily how I looked, it was how I felt. BIG. Uncomfortable. Hiding how much I eat. Ashamed.

It's clear that I can lose the weight again. But what I'm really trying for here is to clear out the fat mindset. To finally feel HEALTHY! To feel confident in workout clothing and engaged and excited with life. I've got two little boys with boundless energy and lots of time to spend running around and ...

It's clear that I can lose the weight again. But what I'm really trying for here is to clear out the fat mindset. To finally feel HEALTHY! To feel confident in workout clothing and engaged and excited with life. I've got two little boys with boundless energy and lots of time to spend running around and having fun with them. I'm excited about what I'm cabable of doing right now, and who I can become by being healthy.

I set my goal at 135 because I've made it to 136 twice in my adult life. Both times I immediately stopped checking the scale and started hiding my head in the sand. I didn't want to know. And for a while that was okay. My pants still fit and I was still reasonably the same person. But when you don't check, there's creep. I was already pretty hefty when I found out I was pregnant this last time- really I'm only about 20 lbs heavier than when I found out. And then you get to wear elastic pants all the time! :)

Not only am I ready to do this, it's already begun.

First SMART goal- No longer be obese! Lose the 15 lbs needed to go from OBESE to overweight in 10 weeks (or 1.5 lbs a week)

Second SMART goal- Pack a full lunch and two snacks for the office every day. It's planned out in advance and it keeps me away from temptation. (except, of course, for taco Wednesday when I just bring in the two snacks!)

What is the gizmo called that you use for pineapple? I have looked in every store in the area and I do not see anything that would work. Maybe it is not even sold up here. But if I could have the name I could maybe order it.

Thanks for the comment. I will look for the gizmo the next time I go shopping. I don't know how often I would buy a pineapple but this one is so good I am sure I will try another.
