Freeing The Trapped Goddess Inside Me...

I joined Sparkpeople in May 2011 at 300 lbs. I was depressed and desperate! I could hardly move, I hated myself, I had health problems and in my mind, I had no hope for the future. I stumbled onto Sparkpeople during a web search and changed my life forever.

This website is amazing. I was so inspired by all the success stories and tools here that I was able to lose 70 lbs. in 8 months. I felt healthy, strong and happy! I had gone from a size 26 to a size 18.

This website is amazing. I was so inspired by all the success stories and tools here that I was able to lose 70 lbs. in 8 months. I felt healthy, strong and happy! I had gone from a size 26 to a size 18.

But, then I lost my way. I let old habits back into my life and didn't work my program. Slowly the weight crept back on until I could no longer ignore the problem. I had stopped taking care of myself.

I am back on Sparkpeople looking to find my way again. I gained back 65 lbs. but, I know I can lose it again if I just do the work.

This is the right place to be to get healthy and lose weight. You get out of this program what you put into it. Track your food, drink water, exercise some each day and share your story because we are all in this together and we WILL succeed!

I am starting back at 294 lbs. but, I plan to lose 80 lbs. by the end of 2014. Every bite, every step, every pound counts...make it work for you!

Step one for me is logging food and drinking water. Getting the "junk" food under control and eating healthy helps me get past the old cravings and start feeling better. This is the first step on my path to freeing the happy, healthy person inside me that is trapped by depression and fat!

My Goals:
I started Spark 155 lbs. over-weight. I want to focus on losing 120 lbs. and feeling healthy and strong physically and mentally!

I want to feel proud of myself instead of disappointed.

Fitness goal: Ride a bike with my son, Run a 10K, and Roller Skate someday.

My Program:
Stay focused on my goals. Write down everything I eat. Do some kind of exercise each day. Get enough sleep at night. Positive self talk, asking for help when I need it, and connecting with other people like me.

Personal Information:
I am 45 years old. I have a 13 year old son and have been married for 25 years. I live on a small cattle ranch in North Texas.

Other Information:
I love...
being a wife and a mom, painting murals, photography, music, movies, traveling, & camping with friends. I have 5 cats and enjoy playing the guitar and participate in my son's Boy Scout troop.
