It is time to free the goddess trapped inside this body!

I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Several years ago I found Sparkpeople online and at 300 lbs., It was the help I needed. In 9 months I lost over 70 lbs. By tracking food, exercising and sharing my journey with others.
Over a year ago, I injured my feet in Zumba class and couldn't do my regular exercise. I was depressed and my food slipped as well. Then I gave up my efforts. I rapidly began to gain the weight back.
Now it is March 2015, I am back to do this again and ...

Over a year ago, I injured my feet in Zumba class and couldn't do my regular exercise. I was depressed and my food slipped as well. Then I gave up my efforts. I rapidly began to gain the weight back.
Now it is March 2015, I am back to do this again and keep it off for good. My starting weight this time was 286 lbs. I am on my fourth day and have lost 6 lbs. Mostly water weight but, a good start.
This journey is about putting myself first. I am worth it!

Thanks for the mixed nuts - how did you know those have been my biggest downfall lately! Salt cravings....dang Walgreens for having them on sale cheap! You are doing a great job - stay motivated. I'm trying but life is so crazy and I can't concentrate like I should. I know it should be all about me but that doesn't happen. We will get there together!

Thanks for the blog post visit!
Boy do I know where you are coming from! I ignored my issues for so long that if my daughter had not forced me to go to the ER, I would have LITERALLY died! (Congestive Heart Failure!)
So here's to us mattering to ourselves and practicing radical self care! (SOOOOOOO much easier said than done!!)
Depression is such a booger...makes everything so much more difficult!
Sending positive vibes!!!!

So glad to see you back! I'm still around but not as much as I used to be. Life seems so busy these days! I took a break myself and found that I was gaining weight and needed the community. It's amazing what a little encouragement can do!

Wishing you the best of luck and lots of support!

Glad you are back. Do listen to the lectures of Richard Bernstein M.D. on YouTube as he has 18 new ones that follow his book "The Diabetes Solution". I read the book from the library about a year ago, because I hae Insulin Resistance and I don't want Type 2 Diabetes. I did learned a lot from him.
