Getting healthy for me, and for my love

After many bad dating decisions (including marrying one of them), I have finally found someone who brings out the best in me and makes me a better person.

In 2014, I lost 42 pounds, but then I started school (in addition to working full time) and the weight started creeping back on.

For my 40th birthday, in October 2015, my wonderful man proposed! Knowing I wanted to rock a wedding dress in 2016 helped get me motivated again! So I rejoined Weight Watchers and was able ...

As my fiance saw my results, we had a conversation one day and agreed that we both needed to get in better shape so that we could enjoy our life together longer!

You did really well on the cruise. Congratulations.

My goal was to stay under a 3 lb. gain. I gained 2.5 lbs. I had a terrible scare on the 4th day of the cruise--I weighed myself at the gym and the scale indicated a 8.5 lb. gain. The first few days I did extremely well, but as the week went on, I gave in to some desserts and a few drinks. I freaked, but then my sister reminded me that I didn't know if the scale was accurate.

I made my sister take the steps with me almost every time instead of the elevator--sometimes walking 8 to 9 floors. I loved it, but she didn't. A couple of days it was quite warm outside so I walked the promenade deck. I also hit the gym most days. All-in-all, it was a great vacation without feeling deprived.

Glad to be back home. I hope to have the 2.5 lbs. gone in 2 weeks.
