I wanna be the one they're checking out

I've been "one of the guys" for most of my life, and I've watched those guys shamelessly checking out the hot girls that walk by. I've never been one of those girls. Don't get me wrong, I'm doing this for me. But one of my dreams is to one day walk up to my tailgating buddies before a football game and catch them checking me out before they realize who I am. :D

My Program:
Started The Daniel Plan 12/13/13, although I mostly follow my own nutrition plan of avoiding processed foods, eating mainly seafood, poultry, fruits & veggies, some whole grains and dairy products (Greek yogurt mostly!).

Exercise is usually jogging or Bowflex.

You did really well on the cruise. Congratulations.

My goal was to stay under a 3 lb. gain. I gained 2.5 lbs. I had a terrible scare on the 4th day of the cruise--I weighed myself at the gym and the scale indicated a 8.5 lb. gain. The first few days I did extremely well, but as the week went on, I gave in to some desserts and a few drinks. I freaked, but then my sister reminded me that I didn't know if the scale was accurate.

I made my sister take the steps with me almost every time instead of the elevator--sometimes walking 8 to 9 floors. I loved it, but she didn't. A couple of days it was quite warm outside so I walked the promenade deck. I also hit the gym most days. All-in-all, it was a great vacation without feeling deprived.

Glad to be back home. I hope to have the 2.5 lbs. gone in 2 weeks.

That's encouraging news. I figure with all of the walking, that it might be a trade off. I already stay away from most bread--it adds up too quickly. How can I find you on the FitBit site? I got one a couple of weeks ago and having trouble finding my friends.

Were you successful with maintaining your weight on the cruise? Any tips you can share? I start a cruise on May 25 and I desperately want to maintain my weight--can't imagine that there's much chance that I'll lose weight even if we do lots of walking.
