Hi, Frankie is one of my many nicknames. I have been on the Spark before and didn't make much progress. I think I just wasn't ready. I hope--I know--that this time will be different. I had some scary health news in January that has definitely focused my efforts towards optimum health.

My ultimate goal is to live a more authentic life, a more natural life, a more real life. This is a year for major changes.

My Goals:
My ultimate goals include losing 100 pounds and becoming physically fit and healthy. I want to be physically strong before we start trying to expand our family (that's code for "babymakin")

I have other, more shallow, goals as well. Like, I want to have a BODY with a capital B like Serena Wiliams. She looks like she could kick my ass and I am a little afraid of her which is really just kind of awesome.

My Program:
My program is a work in progress. Right now I am modifying a strength training /cardio program based on Primal Blueprint Fitness.

Cardio consists of walking/hiking and zumba. I also want to learn how to swim this year and possibly take some belly dancing lessons.

Strength training is based on Lift Heavy Things (LFT). My program currently consists of squats, modified pushups, reverse or Australian pull ups, modified planks, and side planks. I am experimenting with supplementing this program with some Youtube Zumba Toning routines.

I'm having a blast.

Personal Information:
I am originally from Arkansas and just recently moved to Georgia. I am adjusting to my new life as Georgia girl.

Other Information:
“If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.” Frederick Douglass, “No Progress Without Struggle,” 1849

"You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think."
Dorothy Parker
