Motivation and Accountability!

As someone who has struggled with body image issues, identity issues, and weight my whole life, I feel like I have finally found a sound balance to each component of who I am. Though we're all always works in progress, I feel like I understand who I am and who I want to be in this world!

Finding that has had a huge impact on attacking this never-ending battle of emotional eating, self-doubt, and dwindling motivation.

I started with Spark in 2010, but strayed after an initial bout of weight-loss. I can hear myself saying, "Oh, I've got this now.. I can keep it up." While I haven't gained back all my weight, I'm seeing the scale creep, and I never made it to my ultimate goals!

I'm back with a vengeance, and looking to others for that extra kick in the behind to keep me motivated in times when it's wavering and hold me accountable when I can find it within myself.

Thanks for checking in! I actually just got back from the cottage yesterday and haven't sat down to update yet. Good reminder, though! :)

haha... I totally do that, too. I'll eat a bunch of cookies and sit there thinking "That was SOOOOO worth it." Your comments are always so encouraging - sometimes people try to be encouraging but end up sounding... I dunno... not? But you don't come across that way and I appreciate it. :D Weigh-in tomorrow!

Thanks for the comment! I'm not doing any particular cleanse. I'm trying to stay under 1700 calories (a drastic reduction from bingeing over 3500 a day) and, since I'm completely addicted to grains, I've been staying away from those after breakfast. I really think the drastic weightloss is based on my insides letting go of the build-up they've accumulated from 1.5 years of horrible feeding habbits.

2.5 years ago I went on a 6-day hike (west coast trail). I lost 10lbs in 6 days because I was burning so many more calories than I could eat. That's what kickstarted my first weight-loss so I'm not surprised to see the weight shed so quickly from the dietary change. Wish I could keep it up! lol.

Hey buddy, saw you over on the trans group. Can't wait to see what your progress is like during the next year or so!
