    A Birthday Workout

    Hike across green Ireland;
    Bike the USA;
    Backpack through New Zealand,
    But don’t call it a day…

    Do yoga in lovely Paris;
    Jump rope in Katmandu;
    Avoid Italian pasta,
    (Well, maybe taste, but don’t you chew!)

    Climb atop Mt. Everest;
    Do aerobics on China’s Wall;
    Lift weights on Mexican Beaches;
    And honey, that’s not all…

    Shake your booty with native dances
    In Fiji and Bora Bora;
    Move your body and exercise
    Like you’ve never done befora.

    Okay; that’s good; you’re finished;
    Now you can take a break;
    You’ve finally burned enough calories
    To have your birthday cake!

    Good for you, I also use a pedometer and am absolutely hooked on it, it gets clipped to my underwear the first thing in the morning and I wear it every day allll day...gives me a lot of incentive to move more knowing the steps are adding up....I walk 3 miles five days a week so it is much easier those days to reach at least the 10,000 steps I aim for but on the other two days I rarely make it...but do try...Knowing the pedometer is working keeps me moving more than I would otherwise....I even walk when I am taling on my cordless phone at home...I have struggled with weight all my life and am at lifetime at WW finally but it is a high goal that my Dr,. set so I am now actively working to lose 10 more lbs....I am 69 and my biggest weight in 1975 was 249...I lost 80 lbs. that time but quit before making my goal weight. I have joined and rejoined WW over the years until finally two years ago with about 30 lbs. to lose I decided to stick it out no matter how long it took to make lifetime, praise the Lord I have done it....sooo you can see, there is hope, keep on keeping on and you will do it too....Congratulations on your success up to now.......
