Time for me!

It's time for me, and I've got to get myself back on track. I am a full-time mom, and work part-time. My life is hectic and I really need to find a balance of diet and exercise.

My Goals:
After getting VERY close to my original goal last year, I have gained 1/2 of it back. Life got out of control, so my goal now is to take it one week at a time, and hopefully reach my goal and stay there!

My Program:
I started out using the WW points and watching my calories. I'm going to attempt doing this again, but I may go to the US Food diagram for my nutrition and just pick healthier snacks, which is my biggest problem!

thought I'd introduce myself...

I joined the Thornton Sparkers team on 9/24 and have set a personal challange. I am going to send a message to everyone on the TS team... all 305. The TS team boards are sooooo quiet I thought it might be nice to get everyone talking.

A little bit about me... I am a walker and do endurance races (1/2 marathons) on a regular basis. I've lived in Thornton for almost 30 years and am a Colorado native. I joined Spark People to get motivation to loose weight. Feel free to check out my page.

Congrats on the weight loss to date. I know what it's like to not feel like working out and it's ok to take off a day every now and then. But just don't let it become habit. Having your kids participate with you is always a good way to get moving and it teaches them good habits. Our challenges are a little easier.

I finally exercised today, it's been 1 1/2 weeks since I felt like it. My son, who's 6, did the walking video with me. 2 miles he did and he couldn't believe it. I feel good now and can go get some chores done today!

I've lost another pound and another inch from my hips! I only exercised one day last week and I'm not tracking my food on here like I should, BUT I am writing down everything I'm eating just not enough time to put it on here.

I walked 1 mile today and feel great! My goal is to lose 1 - 2 lbs this week.
