Looking Great in 2008!

To look at me now, you would never guess that I used to model. I did print ads, commercials, magazines, and runway. I actually modeled from age 16 to about age 30. I do not expect to model again, but I hate the way I look in pictures now. I want to look good in whatever I put on.
I will do it this year!

My Goals:
I want to feel better about myself. I want to wear cute hip clothes and not feel fat. I want to look good for my husband. I want to look great in pictures again. I don't want to keep gaining 5 lbs. every year.

I want to look great in a swimsuit this summer.

My Program:
I have been walking 3 miles or elliptical 30 min and weights about 5 x week for a long time on a regular basis, but have not lost 1 pound. I plan on increasing my excercising routine and cutting my calories. I also want to eat less carbs and fat.

Personal Information:
I live in the middle of the USA and I am a Mom of 2 teenagers. My husband is very health concious which helps me stay on a healthier diet. I do love chocolate and I eat pizza when my kids do. I am really frustrated about not losing anything but am hoping SP will help me.

Other Information:
Favorite books: Outlander ( and the rest of the series) by Diane Gabaldon

I'd just like to welcome you back and say "good job for coming back" The easy thing to do is walk away and stay away. You've made a great first step in coming back. I've only been a member for a short time but I have found logging in daily keeps me focused and in tuned to what I eat and how little I actually exercise. That will be the hardest for me, I just hate it. Just keep on trying and keep the faith. Valerie

I saw your comment about having some troubles loosing recently. This is a day to day battle we are in. The best weapons are a constant positive attitude (tough some days), and tracking every bite you put in your mouth, and physical activity of some kind! You probably already know all that, but your need remind yourself daily of where this journey is taking you.

I have a l-o-t of weight to loose. In the past nine months I have lost 45 lbs. Still have a long way to go, but I know I can do it, and I am not in a hurry!

Bless you on your journey to health.
