Hi, I'm Lynn and I'm 27 years old. I am working on losing 120 pounds! I want to be fit, healthy and happy with my body.

I have struggled with my body image my whole life. I always felt overweight but in reality I was extremely fit and beautiful. It wasn't until I had to give up dance and working out in college that I started gaining weight. I got to the point where I was so overweight and, depressed that I gave up every hoping to be fit again and just stayed heavy even though I was miserable. I lost some weight for my wedding but I gained most of it back.

Last winter I went to Mexico for a vacation and between that and the holidays my eating and weight got out of control. I finally got mad and determined to get control of my body.

I started off with Jenny Craig and I lost a little but I didn't like the rules and food and felt like I could do this on my own. So far I've lost 20 pounds on my own plan! I restricted my calories and cut out sodas and junk. Now I eat mostly lean proteins, fruits, veggies and some whole grains and I work out almost every day. I love it!

The hardest part is learning what works best for me. So far I've played with my calorie intake and my workouts and right now I've hit a small Plateau. Too much Exercise, too few calories so my body is in starvation mode. But I plan to take a day or two off to relax and eat a little more, then add the workouts back in.

Either way, I am so proud of myself for not getting overwhelmed and losing my motivation! I have taken each bump in the road as a lesson learned and I keep moving forward. Each day I'm stronger, smarter, a little lighter and much happier!

Fitness Minutes: 2,397

My Goals:
To lose 2-3 pounds a week until I get down to about 130.

My main goal is to lose weight and live a healthy, active life. I will never let myself get this out of shape and overweight again.

My Program:
I have been eating around 1100 calories a day, doing a daily P90X workout and a High Intensity Interval workout every other day. I haven't lost weight in 3 days, I wonder why..... Maybe because I'm not fueling my body! Mental head slap!!

So my plan now is to take a day or two off of my workouts, add some extra calories (understanding I will gain some weight back) and get my body revved up again. Then I'm going to add the exercises back and switch up my calorie intake. It'll look like this:

2 days a week 1200 cals
2 days a week 1400 cals
2 days a week 1700 cals
1 day a week 1800 cals

I hope I will keep my body confused enough to not think it's starving but we'll see. I will continue working out but maybe dial it back a bit.
