Healthy living isn't a one time thing, it's a life long commitment!!
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my page!! My name is Rebecca and I am 21 years young. I live in a rural town in Maryland, and I work as the manager at our local Edible Arrangements. I have been a member of Sparkpeole on and off for the past 4 years. It really has helped me develop a better way of looking at Healthy Living as a life long commitment. It's not something you decide to do one time and expect to last the rest of your life. it takes lots of time and patience with yourself. I've learned this. I was a lot thinner back in my younger years, but after I met my fiance and started taking birth control, my weight started to spiral out of control. I gained about 30lbs in one years time. And I have no one to blame, but myself. Him and I love going out to eat, and that is really the only thing to do for fun in this town. So that definitely did not help me stay at a healthy weight. I decided to make a change about 2 years after I gained the weight. I was tired of looking at myself and not feeling sexy or confident anymore. So I joined Curves in March 2010 and started watching what I was eating. I did great for about 3 months and then vacations came around and I fell off the wagon. Gained most of the weight back. Fast forward to February 2011. I joined Weight Watchers off and on and stuck with that plan for almost 6 mos. I lost 30+ pounds and kept it off and was working out at home and the gym. I was looking awesome. Then August 2011 came and some major drama happened and I kind of stopped all of the hard work I was doing. The weight slowly crept back on and then March 2012 I decided to hire a trainer. BUT then I had an injury with my foot and that really discouraged me. So I didin't truly commit to her and working out. Fast forward again to today July 30th, 2012. My foot is pretty much all healed and I am ready to get back on the wagon and start over and get to my goal and stay there for the rest of my life. I am starting to see my trainer again and I also hired an amazing woman named Jenn Aguirre. She is basically a virtual trainer. I speak with her everyday and send her my food logs and what exercises I have done. She has an online program of exercises I am supposed to do 3x a week as well as cardio every day. I know she is going to kick my ass into shape. Now, Weight Watchers worked great. I lost weight, but I didn't feel like it was the healthiest way to do it. I was eating tons of processed food and I definitely didn't like that, and that is why I quit. Thats why I really like Jenn's program. She wants you to eat REAL food!! And she is super supportive. I really like how I have to stay accountable to her... So anyway. Sparkpeople is a great site. I use it everyday to track what I'm eating and what exercises I'm doing. I love working out. I love how strong it makes me feel and what it makes my body look like. I hope to one day become one of the Sparkpeople motivators on this site. It is a dream of mine. So feel free to follow me along on my journey, and if you'd like to talk feel free to e-mail me on here. Good Luck On Your Journey!! God Bless!! Becca
