Finally motivated to lose weight
7/1/2012 - Day 1 on my journey to lose weight. After not weighing myself in several months, I was shocked to see me at 320 lbs. Upon seeing that, something changed inside me. Somehow I knew I would not see 321 lbs. 7/1/2012 - Day 1 on my journey to lose weight. After not weighing myself in several months, I was shocked to see me at 320 lbs. Upon seeing that, something changed inside me. Somehow I knew I would not see 321 lbs. No more 12-18 daily heaping sugars in my giant 4-6 cups of coffee per day... no more buying a pie/cake or box of cookies one day and having my family finish it the next, only to buy another and do it again...no more almost daily pizza/parmesan dinners (or 2) from the local pizza place...no more soda or sweet drinks. 7/30/2012 - I've lost 15 lbs in the last 30 days! I've managed to nearly eliminate all extra sugar and salt from my diet. I no longer eat sweets, no sugar in my coffee (skim milk only), I drink only water or unsweeted tea. My meals are much healthier and I'm doing great. I have been going to the gym, with my 14 year old daughter, 4-6 days a week where I do strength/circuit training and cardio 3-4 of those days. Since I control the meals my family eats as well, all 4 of us are eating healthy and are all losing weight! I can't explain why I changed this time, but I know it happened when I first saw my weight on the scale. It was the most I ever weighed and I honestly expected to see a number near 20 lbs less.
