28 to Go...

I was a teenager and it seems I always had 5 pounds to loose, then after dieting it became 10 to loose, lost a couple of pounds,
then through the years it got to 15 to loose, lost a couple more, gained a little more, then I got pregnant, had a lot of health issues during pregnancy, and after, and even now...
So now here I am, with 28 pounds to loose, and some energy to gain. It is not 5 or 10 pounds anymore, it is now 28 pounds, and it seems like a mountain for me! I feel so ...

I am now determined to have this excess weight go for good!

It won't be easy, since my health is complicated right now. But SparkPeople is an amazing place to be: it wakes me up to something so complete and powerful! I will give it all the time I can. I know it will help me find the motivation I need to go all the way with a definitive weight loss this time.

Goal #1: loose 5 pounds for good - REACHED 2008/05/03
Goal #2: leave 150 Ville for good - REACHED 2008/05/17
Goal #3: loose 10 pounds for good
Goal #4: loose 15 pounds for good
Goal #5: leave 140 Ville for good
Goal #6: loose 20 pounds for good
Goal #7: loose 25 pounds for good
Goal #8: leave 130 Ville for good
In the end: Get my self confidence back.

My Program:
I get up at 5:30 in the morning (my 4 year old son wakes us up at this time every day since his birth!).
My husband agreed to take care of breakfast that early, so I can start my day with
30 minutes of exercise, every day!

As for the food, I need to focus on veggies, and limit carb intake (I love cookies and snacks...).

Personal Information:
I work full time as a technical engineer, putting wires underground for the City of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.
I speak French and manage as best I can with English.

Other Information:
I am crazy about my boy, and my lovely husband. (We have been together for 20 years!)

Life is good even through tough times: we surprise ourselves with all that strength we did not know we had.
We see so much more clearly after the storm.
