Italia 2012

Hello, I am a 53 and in 2012, my husband and I are taking our daughter for a trip to Italy as a graduation present for completing college. My goal is to be in excellent shape in order to be able to walk everywhere and climb the alps ( just a little). Later in the year, my husband and I plan to celebrate our 25th anniversay in Hawaii. Once again we want to be able to do all the things we enjoyed as a young couple. Because we remain young at heart.

My goal is to be in excellent shape in order to be able to walk everywhere and climb the alps ( just a little). Later in the year, my husband and I plan to celebrate our 25th anniversay in Hawaii. Once again we want to be able to do all the things we enjoyed as a young couple. Because we remain young at heart.

1/20/12 I want to update my teams and friends and let you know I have reached my first goal of 20 lbs off. I continue to exercise, although my back is better, I still have a way to go with walking stamina. Our new puppy Tenny helps in that department. I can walk about a mile without significant pain. My kickboxing remains curtailed to low kicks and biking resistance stays low, but everything else is great. Yoga is really coming along. I touched my forhead to my shins for the first time since high school.

2/4/11 Need to revamp the exercise routine. Spin bike and long high impact such as walking may be adding strain and trauma to an already unstable and shifted back verebrae. This is not what I wanted to hear. So I am focusing on the new physical therapy program and will try to strengthen core, glut medius and improve left hip flexion. I can only focus on that. No sense depressing myself with the what ifs. In other news I am 25 lbs lighter as of today. Numbness in left leg is better, not gone, it does get aggravated, but its not automatic when I walk or move around a lot of the days. That is an improvement!!. Yea me.

My Goals:
I am going to walk Italy in May or else!!

New goal. Italy remains number one for now. Second goal is to remain as mobile as I can for as long as I can.

My Program:
I am doing the Medifast Take shape for life program and I am an avid exerciser. I find that with my age, I needed something different to curtail my compulsive carb grazing. I can tell you my cravings are controlled I am not hungry and I am feeling good stamina.
