My travels, my blogs!

Hello and welcome to my Spark Page. I found Spark People by accident in 2008. Unfortunately, back then, due to family matters and other things, I had been more "off" the site than "on". But now I am back amid travels and so happy to have found this web site in that it is completely changing my lifestyle: eating, exercise and everyday habits. I am on a long lifestyle changing journey (remembering that it is a marathon and not a sprint). I have lost over half the weight I wish to lose in this journey and I know, with God's help and the help of my Spark Friends, I will reach my goal sooner than later. God Bless everyone as you take your own personal journeys and I know, like me, you will succeed in everything that you attempt.

My Goals:
To learn to completely change my lifestyle - to eat healthier, to exercise and to cut down on life's everyday stressors.

My Program:
Watching what I eat and exercising (mainly walking and my stationary bike). Thinking positive thoughts rather than negative ones. Using SP's nutrition and fitness trackers daily. I also meditate at least once a day.

Personal Information:
I am getting over some major life stress and now I keep my days full and relaxing using music and meditation as much as possible. I love Spark People and the great and supportive friends I have met here. My goal is to get back to my "high school" weight and fitness level, where I played football and baseball.

Other Information:
I have played guitar and keyboards for a number of touring bands, but mostly take it easy nowadays. I also like to relax to old movies and classic TV comedy shows. I love classic rock but not into the newer hip-hop and rap music nor am I into the majority of the newer TV shows. In fact, I don't watch much TV at all.

Bob, Thanks for your kind words of support on my blog about chiropractors. I'm really feeling better, and I'm glad your chiro has helped you as well.

I love what you said in your friend feed about Easter being more than chocolates and Easter bunnies. Have a blessed Easter!

Good Morning Bob

Dropping by to wish you a Blessed Easter Weekend and share a special Easter Poem....

Easter Means Eternal Life

A perfect God demands a perfect justice;
He cannot let us get away with sin.
We used Godís gift of our free will to trespass,
So heavenís gates were closed; we couldnít get in.

Our sin required our blood, a sacrifice,
To atone for all the wrongs that we had done.
"But I love them!" cried our Father, filled with sorrow;
"Iíll send my only Son to be the one."

Good Friday marks the slaying of our Jesus,
The unblemished lamb, the perfect sacrifice.
He took our guilt and blame upon Himself,
So we could be with Him in paradise.

On Easter morning, he came back from death;
He vanished from the tomb, the empty grave.
His resurrection means eternal life
For us, the ones he came to earth to save.

This summarizes all the Easter story
And because of it, weíll be with Him in glory.
