My travels, my blogs!
Hello and welcome to my SparkPage. I found SparkPeople by accident about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, due to family matters, travel and other things, I've been more "off" the site than "on" during that time. I am happy to have found this web site in that it is completely changing my lifestyle: eating, exercise and everyday habits. Hello and welcome to my SparkPage. I found SparkPeople by accident about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, due to family matters, travel and other things, I've been more "off" the site than "on" during that time. I am happy to have found this web site in that it is completely changing my lifestyle: eating, exercise and everyday habits. I am on a long lifestyle changing journey (remembering that it is a marathon and not a sprint). My Goals:
To learn to completely change my lifestyle - to eat healthier, to exercise and to cut down on life's everyday stressors.
My Program:
Watching what I eat and exercising (mainly walking and my stationary bike). Thinking positive thoughts rather than negative ones. Using SP's nutrition tracker daily and well as daily journaling. I also meditate at least once a day.
Personal Information:
Over the past few years I have had a lot of stressors creep into my life and I'm thinking that caused some "emotional eating". However, I try and keep my days full and relaxing using music and meditation as much as possible. I love SparkPeople and the friends I have met on here. My goal is to get back to my "high school" weight and fitness level, where I played football and baseball.
Other Information:
I love music and play guitar,piano and keyboards. I sometimes relax to old movies and classic tv sitcoms, especially the Britcoms (British sitcoms). I love to listen to classic rock. I also love karaoke. Singing and music in general are great stress relievers.
