OMG.......why didn't anyone tell me I was this fat??!?!?!!
OK, 2 months later......20 pounds off and a bit of an improvement from my before pic
OK, I've been back here for just about 2 months now and have lost the initial 20#'s I usually lose before I flake out on my program. This time, I haven't reached out to anyone or done any blogging or anything except log my food until now. This is usually where I think that I can do it alone and leave SparkPeople, only to quickly regain the weight I worked so hard to lose in the first place.
I hope this time is different. Yes, I did stop logging my food a couple of weeks ago and of course thought I could continue on my own, but I can't. It's time to start blogging, reach out to others and continue logging my food. My hope is to actually reach my first goal of a 57# loss, putting me below 200 for the first time in over 20 years. Then, it would be wonderful to continue the weight loss and actually reach my final goal of 175.
With the help of God and the people on SparkPeople, perhaps I can make it.
My start date for this journey is March 16th, 2015.
Lose 57 pounds to reach my first goal weight of 199 pounds by 12/31/2015.
As of 5/16/2015, 20#s lost!!
- Journal my food
keeping under 1500
- Exercise occasionally
- Weigh weekly, not daily
- Be kind to myself
As this is a life long journey, I will eat foods that are not normally part of my daily food plan. I will learn that this is normal, and allow myself this indulgence without guilt.
I live in Southern Oregon in a tiny town, about 90 miles from the nearest Walmart. I'm soon to be 63 years old and have had 2 hip and 1 knee replacement. I love animals and have recently started horseback riding again. I would love to own another horse, but right now ride a friends horse and am building my confidence back after about 17 years away from my favorite past time.
With God all things are possible.

My apologies for not welcoming you back sooner, but WELCOME BACK!! I've gained back a little myself, but we keep on trying to make healthy choices. I was most successful last summer and fall, and hope to make the same strides this year, working through the stress of overworked, and underpaid, but I vow to stay focused. You can too!!

Winners are everyday heroes.
Winners take their dreams seriously.
Winners never give up and won't let you give up either.
Winners have attitude.
Winners care in their sleep.
Winners make big things happen a little at a time.
Winners say "yes" to freedom and change.
Winners go with the flow.
Winners see the beginning in every ending.
Winners expect the best.
Winners inspire the best in others.
Winners are the richest people in the world
when it comes to experience, laughter and love.
In my book, YOU are a winner!

There is a quality about you
That touches me deep in my heart
This quality is so special
It sets you quite apart
You're a kind and generous person
Who can brighten up my day
Bringing much joy to my life
With your kind and thoughtful ways
Thank you for all you do
And all that you've done
Too numerous to mention
Thanks for each one

Drain the colour from the rainbow,
Let the stars tumble from the sky,
Mute the birds morning chorus,
Steal the beauty from the flowers.
All these and more Id sacrifice,
And surely would survive.
But friendship . . . .
Not a moment could I bare,
To be without the friends I love.
For they are lifes true wonders,
Filling my heart, my soul, my senses.
With all the colours of happiness,
With every sight and sound of joy.
