Taking one day at a time to change

Hello all...I am a mom of 4 wonderful boys.
I am married to a wonderful man that has been awesome to me and my boys.
I work as a part time merchandiser which works well with my families schedule as it is flexible hours. We host exchange students and wish we could do it on more of a full time basis.

Hello all...I am a mom of 4 wonderful boys.
I am married to a wonderful man that has been awesome to me and my boys.
I work as a part time merchandiser which works well with my families schedule as it is flexible hours. We host exchange students and wish we could do it on more of a full time basis.

I have been overweight since I was 8 years old. I think I have tried just about every "diet" out there to lose weight. I have no health problems to speak of yet and want to keep it that way. My mom died of cancer 5 years ago and that really changed my life and I wanted to become healthy as possible. I did really well for a long time and lost 70 pounds, but then went through a life changing event and gained almost all it is back. Then December 2011, I decided it was time to get back on track! I joined weight watchers online and really enjoyed it but was still missing the support of being in a group so I decided to look around again for a weight loss group. I found a PRISM group and decided it was a good fit and have been doing that since May 2012. To date I have lost 71 pounds! I have more to go but I know I am on the right path.I have finally found another TOPS group that I am enjoying being a part of!
For me I know my success has always been linked to cutting out white sugars and white flours and being around others that are trying to lose weight. I love being on Sparks and am enjoying being on the PINK PANTHERS team! I am looking forward to finishing this year strong!

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthy!

I want to eat foods that are good for my body and not ones that will tear my body down! I have learned that I am unable to eat white flours or white sugars so I am choosing to stay away from these things as much as possible

I want to be in a good exercise routine that becomes as natural as waking up in the morning.

I am making my goal to lose 5% at a time:
starting weight 250
5%-238-met goal 5/31/12

5%-225- met goal 7/25/12

5%-212- met goal 11/2012

5%-199- met goal 3/2013

5%-187 -

5%-175


My Program:
My Commitments:
~ Eating healthy-making the healthiest choice possible..
~ Exercise at least 3 days a week (to start)
~ I am going to eat between 1300-1500 calories a day
~ I am going to work on drinking more water (start with 6 glasses a day)

Personal Information:
I am in St. Helens, Oregon.
Mother to 4 wonderful boys.
Married to my best friend!
I am a stay at home mom but I have found a part time flexible job that enable me to still be there for my kids!


Other Information:
I love to do crafts.....crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, quilting.
I love to read!
I write poetry and do some drawing.
